Technology Support Specialist (Cybersecurity)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, USA; onsite in the Sunnyvale office 5 days per week

Salary: $85,000–$120,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonuses, equity grants, and benefits.

What you will do

• Manage inbound service desk requests and resolve technical issues for internal users.
• Support Mac, Windows, and Linux operating systems, applications, and configurations.
• Manage, secure, patch, troubleshoot, automate, and optimize endpoints through SCCM, Jamf, and AirWatch.
• Configure new-hire systems, perform IT onboarding, and provide hands-on support in the office and server/networking room.
• Improve application experiences, test releases, research solutions, and document IT policies, procedures, and processes.
• Maintain inventory, assist with asset procurement and shipping, support conference-room A/V equipment, and collaborate on IT projects.

Requirements

• Strong communication, patience, follow-through, task management, prioritization, triage, and escalation skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of operating system concepts and Active Directory account, OU, and security group administration.
• Understanding of security best practices and their real-world application.
• Proven experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.
• Fluent English, both written and verbal, is required.
• Ability to work onsite 5 days per week and lift 50 pounds is required.

Nice to have

• Scripting or script reverse engineering with PowerShell, Bash, or Python, including JAMF or SCCM automation.
• Systems management and automation experience with Group Policy, WSUS, and automation services.
• Networking troubleshooting knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, IP addressing, connectivity, and cabling.
• Linux, Windows, and Mac command-line, services, installation, and system operation experience.
• Experience with VMware or Hyper-V, mail systems such as Exchange or Google Apps, and advanced security concepts.
