Design Engineer (Mechanical)

What you will do

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for rotating equipment and hydraulic systems from concept to production.
• Create accurate technical drawings and 3D CAD models suitable for manufacture and assembly.
• Apply GD&T and perform tolerance analysis to verify fit, function, and manufacturability.
• Participate in DFMEA and risk identification; define technical risks and mitigation strategies early.
• Support prototype build, testing, and troubleshooting; iterate designs based on test results.
• Maintain design documentation (BOMs, revision history, ECNs) and collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or HNC/HND in mechanical engineering with significant relevant experience.
• 3+ years of practical mechanical design experience.
• Proficiency producing technical drawings and specifications, with working knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-ups.
• Experience with 3D CAD systems (Siemens NX preferred) and CAD best practices.
• Experience with PLM/PDM systems (Teamcenter preferred).
• Good verbal and written communication skills to present design intent to customers and non-technical stakeholders.
