TL;DR

Project Engineer (Aerospace): Leading the design and development of complex electromechanical test systems for military aircraft with an accent on hydraulic, servo-mechanism, and electro-pneumatic integration. Focus on managing project budgets, schedules, and cross-functional technical teams to ensure mission-critical performance and reliability.

Location: Must be based in or able to relocate to East Aurora/Buffalo, NY (Hybrid)

Salary: $100,000–$135,000

What you will do

  • Lead cross-functional teams through the full development lifecycle of specialized test equipment.
  • Design and validate hydraulic, electro-mechanical, and electro-pneumatic systems for military aircraft.
  • Collaborate with drafters, analysts, and manufacturing engineers to bring designs to production.
  • Manage project budgets, technical proposals, and development schedules.
  • Coordinate procurement, assembly, and system integration while maintaining strict quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience (or MS with 3+ years).
  • Must be eligible to access U.S. export-controlled information.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing complex electromechanical hardware.
  • Strong background in verification testing and trade studies.
  • Demonstrated project leadership or technical management capabilities.
