What you will do

• Act as a primary technical point of contact for stakeholders and refine requirements into actionable technical designs.
• Write and review detailed specifications for system components of moderate complexity.
• Design and deliver scalable batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Build and enhance the data platform using modern, proven technologies.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and governance via monitoring and strong processes.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and coaching while managing technical debt.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python (API and ORM frameworks), PySpark, SQL, and data platform technologies.
• Experience with AWS services (Glue, Lambda, SQS, Kinesis, RDS) plus Kafka, Snowflake, dbt, and Terraform.
• Proven experience designing both batch and real-time data pipelines.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with iterative delivery.
• Strong stakeholder communication and leadership skills, including mentoring engineers; advocate of CI/CD and TDD.
