TL;DR

Technical Product Owner (Medtech): Managing the product backlog and translating business requirements into technical specifications for engineering teams with an accent on medical device regulatory standards and software development lifecycle. Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Glenview, IL

Salary: $100,000 - $115,000

What you will do

  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, creating detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Translate product roadmaps into actionable technical features for the engineering team.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies, including daily scrums and refinement sessions.
  • Act as a primary liaison between cross-functional teams to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Document complex system requirements and maintain them across platforms.
  • Contribute to corporate procedures regarding requirement management and system engineering.

Requirements

  • Must be based in Glenview, IL or the surrounding area for hybrid work.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering or product development.
  • 3+ years of experience in a project delivery role.
  • Thorough knowledge of web-based and desktop application development.
  • Experience in the medical device or regulated healthcare industry.
  • Proficiency in Azure DevOps/TFS and working knowledge of Figma.

Nice to have

  • Degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
  • Solid understanding of regulatory requirements in the medical device industry.
