Staff Product Designer, National Impact (Fintech)

Location: Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY; in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week

Base pay: $191,000–$225,000 USD annually in Zone 1; $168,000–$198,000 in Zone 2; $150,000–$176,000 in Zone 3, depending on work location.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end design for zero-to-one financial products from early concepts through national launch.
• Set a high craft standard across typography, spacing, motion, micro-interactions, and visual consistency.
• Translate complex and ambiguous requirements into simple, trusted user experiences.
• Partner closely with engineering to preserve design intent and pixel-level fidelity in implementation.
• Build and maintain scalable design systems and patterns across the product line.
• Present design direction to senior leadership and raise the quality bar across the design team.

Requirements

• Portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual craft, including typography, spacing systems, polished motion, and micro-interactions.
• Track record of shipping pixel-perfect products at scale, not only concepts.
• Fluency in design systems and consistency across a growing product surface.
• Ability to work in ambiguous zero-to-one environments while maintaining a high craft standard under deadlines.
• Experience partnering closely with engineering to protect visual fidelity through implementation.
