Machine Learning Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Bellevue, WA, United States; hybrid work with in-person attendance expected at least three days per week. Telecommuting is permitted.

Salary: $161,138–$200,000 per year, plus potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Evaluate transformer-based architectures, large foundational models, and other emerging ML technologies for financial use cases.
• Develop and productionize scalable recommendation, ranking, personalization, and learning-to-rank models.
• Design reinforcement learning algorithms and multi-armed bandit strategies for dynamic decision-making.
• Design, run, and monitor A/B tests, then analyze experimental results using statistical methods.
• Collaborate with engineering, data science, and marketing teams to integrate models into products and present findings to stakeholders.
• Build reusable ML libraries and maintain documentation for tools, models, experiments, and results.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field with at least three years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least one year of relevant experience.
• Experience productionizing ML models for recommendations, ranking, or personalization.
• Experience with classical ML for tabular data and modern ML for sequential data.
• Hands-on experience with large, distributed, high-scale ML application architectures.
• Experience delivering business outcomes through A/B testing and rigorous statistical analysis.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, XGBoost, PyTorch or TensorFlow, plus Spark, Kafka, or Kubernetes. Background checks are required.
