Senior Associate - Corporate Finance - Transaction Advisory

Location: Chicago, IL, hybrid. Candidates must have the legal right to work in the United States without company sponsorship and should be willing to travel up to 25%.

Salary: $80,000–$135,000 per year.

What you will do

• Support buy-side and sell-side due diligence engagements within corporate finance transaction advisory teams.
• Perform quality of earnings, financial trend, working capital, benchmark, and financial statement analyses.
• Assess business plans and cash flow statements and identify purchase price adjustment issues and deal structuring insights.
• Collaborate with transaction advisory professionals, BRG experts, external firms, and client contacts.
• Lead the preparation of reports, written analyses, presentations, and other client deliverables.
• Contribute to marketing, client pitches, product development, and the growth of the consulting practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, accounting, finance, management, engineering, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience, ideally in consulting or professional services.
• Expertise in financial modeling and analysis, including three-statement models, cash flows, and scenario analyses.
• Ability to manage and analyze large volumes of financial and operational data and develop actionable insights.
• Strong written and oral communication, problem-solving, project management, prioritization, and independent working skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with Capital IQ, Bloomberg, or similar financial research tools.

Nice to have

• MBA, CFA, CPA, or equivalent qualification.
