Lead Software Engineer (EDA)

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, UK

What you will do

• Develop and maintain the C++ codebase for next-generation EDA tools.
• Translate feature requirements into design, functional, and test specifications.
• Develop techniques that improve software capability, capacity, performance, and stability.
• Integrate code commits with the build and regression system for testing.
• Collaborate with product engineering, verification, documentation, and program management across a global cross-functional team.

Requirements

• PhD, or a master’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong mathematical background, including high achievement in mathematics and physics.
• Russell Group degree in mathematics, physics, engineering, computer science, or another STEM discipline.
• Experience programming in C++14/17 or other object-oriented languages.
• Algorithmic software development skills and exposure to Linux/Unix environments.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Qt.
• Electronic design automation experience.
