Senior CAD Engineer (IoT Hardware)

What you will do

• Set up, configure, troubleshoot, and support virtual desktop environments for engineering users.
• Maintain the load-sharing server farm, job submission environment, Linux systems, and IT networking support processes.
• Configure and maintain EDA tools, license management, design environments, and analog CAD flows from project setup through tape-out.
• Troubleshoot circuit and layout design issues involving DRC, LVS, extraction, schematic capture, layout editing, and simulation tools.
• Develop scripts and automation to improve engineering workflows and resolve design environment issues.
• Collaborate with designers, cross-functional engineering teams, and EDA vendors while documenting procedures and technical solutions.

Requirements

• BSEE with 5 years of experience or MSEE with at least 3 years of experience.
• Professional experience in CAD support or EDA development, including IC design tools and CMOS silicon processes.
• Experience with physical verification tools and PDK elements, including DRC/LVS and extraction rule decks, model files, and custom parameterized cells.
• Programming or scripting experience with Cadence Skill, Perl, Python, Unix shell, C, C++, or web development.
• Experience with Linux, version control systems, FlexLM license administration, and VPN, VNC, or Exceed TurboX administration.
• Ability to document technical processes clearly, communicate findings, collaborate effectively, and manage multiple priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience with Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, ADE, PCell development, Assura, PVS, Quantus, or Pegasus.
• Experience with Synopsys Fusion Compiler, PrimeLib, library characterization tools, or Siemens Calibre.
