Location: Must be based in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Manhattan, Scottsdale, or West Hartford. This is a hybrid role requiring at least two days per week in the office.
Salary: $80,000–$110,000

What you will do
- Adjust and resolve moderate to complex claims, including all phases of litigation.
- Draft coverage letters, including reservation of rights and denial letters, with minimal supervision.
- Analyze claim documentation and legal filings to set timely and accurate reserves.
- Drive litigation best practices to manage defense counsel deployment and utilization.
- Identify emerging exposures, claim trends, and suspected fraudulent activity.
- Maintain accurate claim files in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of claims handling experience in commercial general liability with an insurance carrier.
- Advanced knowledge of claims analysis, adjusting practices, and legal filing standards.
- Proven ability to actively and effectively negotiate settlements.
- Active insurance adjuster’s license.
- Experience in mentoring and training other claims examiners.
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.

- B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited College or University.
