What you will do
- Lead finance and accounting support for potential acquisitions, including review of data room materials and identification of US GAAP accounting risks.
- Develop, review, and validate sophisticated financial models, ensuring correct accounting treatment, presentation, and accuracy.
- Act as a technical authority on complex audit and reporting matters, interpreting policy when precedents are not available.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, promoting technical rigor and professional development.
- Partner with specialized accounting and financial reporting groups to conduct deep-dive research for special projects and financial statement reviews.
- Provide expert financial advice across the organization to influence decisions on highly technical business issues.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
- Active Finance or Accounting designation (CPA, CFA, or equivalent) is mandatory.
- 10–15 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or transaction advisory.
- Advanced knowledge of US GAAP and experience in complex technical accounting/reporting environments.
Nice to have
- Transaction advisory, M&A due diligence, or Big 4 public accounting experience.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Resourceful mindset for building frameworks without established guidance.
