Director, Services - West Region (Energy Storage)

Location: Remote in the United States, West Region; travel up to 50% required

Salary: $173,000–$216,000+ per year

What you will do

• Build, develop, and manage a geographically dispersed Services team focused on system reliability and availability.
• Own O&M service business performance across safety, financial, maintenance, and operational metrics.
• Manage customer service relationships, contract execution, renewals, vendor SLAs, audits, and service quality.
• Lead proactive and reactive maintenance, asset management strategies, project reporting, system testing, compliance, and analytics.
• Manage the regional income statement, budget, risks, third-party service providers, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead root cause analysis, management of change, site support, and Battery Energy Storage Array O&M training.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree required, preferably in engineering, chemistry, physics, or mathematics.
• At least 10 years of related experience in electric utilities or independent power producers, including generation, operations, or technical teams.
• Experience leading safety improvements, managing budgets and income statement performance, and using SAP or an equivalent financial reporting platform.
• Experience with business process management, project reporting, work execution, procure-to-pay, change management, workforce planning, and development.
• Experience negotiating and managing third-party service contracts, coordinating stakeholders, facilitating meetings, and solving complex technical problems using analytics.
• Excellent MS Office skills and experience with SCADA and MODBUS; must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience in coal, gas, solar, hydro, or wind generation environments.
• Experience supporting new energy storage project deployments and global OEM supplier management.
