SAP Lead Automation Test Engineer

Location: Hybrid working across company offices, client sites, and home; 100% home working is not permitted. The role requires continuous UK residence for the last five years to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end automation testing for SAP SuccessFactors, SAP S/4HANA, and connected non-SAP systems.
• Design and implement automation test strategies, plans, frameworks, and assets for SAP applications and integrations.
• Manage automation engineers, mentor team members, and support a collaborative working environment.
• Integrate automated testing assets into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
• Manage test automation code in Git repositories and maintain defect management and test life-cycle processes.
• Lead automation testing for SIT and UAT phases and provide reports, documentation, metrics, and guidance to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience testing SAP SuccessFactors and SAP S/4HANA, including relevant HR, finance, procurement, materials management, recruitment, onboarding, or supply chain processes.
• Expertise with automation tools such as Tricentis Tosca, Selenium, Worksoft Certify, UFT, TestComplete, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and test management or defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM/Quality Center, or qTest.
• Experience leading SAP E2E automation testing, identifying risks and issues, and producing test reports and metrics.
• ISTQB/ISEB Foundation certification or willingness to obtain one.
• Eligibility for UK Security Check (SC) clearance, including five consecutive years of UK residency with no single absence exceeding 28 days; some posts may be restricted to sole UK nationals.
