Senior Test Engineer (Informatica PowerCenter/Oracle)

What you will do

• Define testing strategy for product teams and the wider test engineering community.
• Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and guide test planning and execution.
• Lead testing delivery against quality, time, and cost objectives.
• Act as an escalation point for critical defects and issues.
• Define test infrastructure approaches, introduce suitable tools, and drive technical improvements.
• Standardise testing through reusable libraries, services, reporting, and shared practices.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle.
• Deep capability in system and/or acceptance testing, including non-functional requirements.
• Experience designing and running performance, resilience, and security testing.
• Ability to investigate problems, challenge assumptions, communicate findings, and coordinate testing across teams.
• Ability to coach and mentor others and prioritise defects based on severity and risk.

Nice to have

• Testing experience in a large-scale data environment with large datasets.
• SQL and AWS experience.
• Automation testing experience.
• Experience in a major UK public sector programme or similarly complex regulated environment.
