What you will do

• Review daily purchasing reports to determine optimal order quantities and create purchase documents.
• Execute stock replenishment, special orders, and drop ship buying while minimizing capital investment.
• Ensure compliance with purchase order terms, costs, and electronic data interchange (EDI) requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers to track order status, resolve shipping errors, and manage delivery communications.
• Negotiate return goods authorizations for excess or inactive inventory.
• Assist management in evaluating supplier performance metrics including on-time delivery and fill rates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or a related field required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in purchasing within a supply chain environment.
• Strong knowledge of inventory concepts, purchasing practices, and business performance measures.
• Proficiency in purchasing and inventory management systems.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
