Location: Must be based in the USA (CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, KS, MA, MD, ME, NJ, NC, NY, OR, TN, TX, VA, or WA). Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident. Not eligible for Visa sponsorship. Note: Candidates cannot be based within the city limits of Chicago.

Salary: $180,000 – $270,000 per year

What you will do

• Define and execute the vision and OKRs for CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and release automation.
• Architect cloud-native build platforms and standardized end-to-end CI/CD workflows.
• Lead the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (CDK, Terraform, Ansible) and build self-service platforms.
• Implement progressive delivery strategies, including blue/green and canary deployments with automated rollbacks.
• Improve delivery performance using DORA metrics (deployment frequency, lead time, etc.).
• Build and scale a high-performing DevOps team, driving a culture of automation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering management experience and 10+ years in DevOps or infrastructure engineering.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
• Strong expertise in CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI) and build tools (Bazel, Gradle, Maven).
• Hands-on experience with IaC (CDK, Terraform, Ansible) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or Typescript.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
