What you will do
- Establish and implement operational processes for the new Romanian branch to ensure local regulatory compliance.
- Tailor AML/CFT frameworks to meet country-specific requirements while maintaining alignment with global guidelines.
- Manage day-to-day branch administrative tasks, including contracts, office operations, and logistics.
- Act as the primary liaison between local regulators and company headquarters, building trust-based relationships.
- Prepare for and participate in supervisory dialogues, audits, and inspections with local authorities.
- Create scalable, automated operational processes for effective compliance risk management.
Requirements
- Must be based in Romania and able to travel to Amsterdam for onboarding and quarterly visits.
- Deep expertise in AML/CFT regulatory frameworks and compliance operations.
- Proven experience in process analysis and creating scalable, automated compliance solutions.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to establish operations from scratch.
- Fluent in Romanian to effectively communicate with local regulatory bodies and stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to balance regulatory risk and commercial needs.
