Project Manager (Space)

Location: Hybrid work in Bremen, Germany; mobile work abroad is available.

What you will do

• Support the planning and execution of national and international space projects in the Future Programs area.
• Prepare proposals for implementation projects and plan staffing, timelines, and budgets.
• Progress to independently managing projects and programs depending on experience.
• Ensure quality, schedule, and budget requirements for projects with operational responsibility.
• Act as the primary customer contact and provide technical leadership.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary teams across engineering, quality assurance, manufacturing, controlling, and project office functions.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent in engineering or engineering management, ideally mechanical, electrical, industrial, or aerospace engineering.
• Theoretical and practical project management knowledge; relevant IPMA, PMI, or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Broad technical understanding of technical systems.
• Several years of experience as a project manager or lead technical engineer in spacecraft is preferred.
• Experience leading and managing teams, with strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Quick learning ability and enthusiasm for new subject areas and technologies.
• Structured, analytical, and efficient working style with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Very good English skills are required. German skills are a plus.
