TL;DR

Payroll Superuser (Workday): Leading the deployment of payroll changes and managing testing cycles within the Workday HCM environment with an accent on compliance, data accuracy, and stakeholder collaboration. Focus on designing test plans, executing regression testing, and providing expert support to the wider People and Finance teams.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to the Bristol hub (Hybrid: expected in-office at least once a week).

Salary: £32,000 - £40,000

What you will do

  • Lead and project manage the deployment of payroll changes to the Workday tenant.
  • Define test plans, create scripts, and execute all levels of testing including UAT and regression.
  • Document payroll processes and provide training to Payroll, People, and Reward teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including People Operations, Benefits, and the Workday HCM team.
  • Support end-to-end payroll processing, including overtime, pension, and benefits administration.
  • Review and refine payroll process mapping to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Strong payroll experience with comprehensive knowledge of UK payroll legislation.
  • Proven experience in testing methodologies and process design.
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment and initiate process improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management and training.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available).
  • Analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
