What you will do

• Provide independent oversight and constructive challenge to ensure risks are managed and governance standards are consistently applied.
• Design and maintain a comprehensive financial control framework aligned with Group standards.
• Identify, monitor, and support the mitigation of key financial and enterprise risks.
• Produce high-quality and repeatable MI to support leadership decision-making and oversight.
• Manage and enhance Risk and Change Forums for effective tracking and escalation of risks and issues.
• Partner with Finance and Group stakeholders to influence planning, prioritisation, and resourcing.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of financial control frameworks, governance models, and risk management in financial services.
• Solid knowledge of insurance accounting, actuarial processes, and regulatory requirements (IFRS and Solvency II).
• Experience designing and embedding governance structures and risk management processes.
• Proven ability to communicate complex insights clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Experience overseeing financial reporting cycles, controls, and audit processes.
• Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid setup in Cardiff, UK
