What you will do
- Drive a coherent, insight-driven STMJ China marketing strategy to support growth across global journals, including Cell Press and The Lancet.
- Elevate premium journal brands and academic leadership through strong positioning and visibility among top researchers.
- Collaborate with global and local teams in a matrixed environment to maximize marketing effectiveness.
- Implement disciplined, data-driven and AI-enabled marketing execution with continuous optimization.
- Build and lead a high-performing marketing organization in China, focusing on talent development and accountability.
Requirements
- 10+ years of marketing experience in STM, scholarly publishing, or related sectors, including 5+ years in senior leadership.
- Fluent in English and native Mandarin.
- Proven track record of delivering growth and brand impact through insight-driven strategies.
- Strong understanding of the China research ecosystem and academic publishing landscape.
- Experience working effectively across global, matrixed organizations and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in data-driven marketing, performance optimization, and the application of AI technologies.
