What you will do

• Lead multiple software engineering teams to build and operate reliable, scalable, and secure services with high availability.
• Define technical direction, including low-level system design, API design, and data modeling standards across owned services.
• Establish engineering practices for high-quality delivery, encompassing code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and incident response.
• Collaborate with Product and Architecture stakeholders to align engineering roadmaps with business outcomes.
• Recruit and mentor engineers and managers to foster an inclusive, high-performance culture of technical excellence.
• Integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions to improve marketplace outcomes responsibly.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of people management experience, specifically leading engineers in production environments.
• Proven track record of owning the end-to-end lifecycle of distributed services or cloud-based systems.
• Strong proficiency in system design (LLD), API design, and data modeling.

• Experience leading a multi-service portfolio and setting architectural strategy for complex systems at scale.
• Expertise in driving operational excellence through root-cause analysis and performance optimization.
• Experience directing teams to embed AI-assisted development or personalization capabilities into products.
