TL;DR

Automated Tester (Selenium/Java): Build and improve automated test suites for web and mobile applications with an accent on Selenium WebDriver automation, automated API testing, and reliable regression execution. Focus on developing tests in Java-based frameworks, running functional and non-functional checks, and partnering with development teams to resolve defects.

Location: Birmingham, England, United Kingdom (hybrid: 2 days in the office, 3 days remote). Remote UK candidates are accepted if travel to the Midlands is possible from time to time.

What you will do

• Create, develop, and improve automation suites for projects.
• Develop automated tests within test frameworks using Java as the core language with Selenium WebDriver.
• Run functional and non-functional testing for web and mobile applications.
• Write and execute test scripts and regression suites, and accurately record issues.
• Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to investigate and resolve issues.

Requirements

• Experience in QA testing for web-based applications, including cross-browser functional testing.
• Strong familiarity with bug tracking and reporting tools, plus experience writing test cases.
• Demonstrable experience with Selenium WebDriver using Java.
• Experience with automated API testing using RestAssured.
• Working knowledge of BDD (Behaviour Driven Development).
• Location/working pattern: ideally Midlands-based; hybrid with 2 office days and 3 remote days, or remote UK with occasional travel to the Midlands.
