What you will do
- Oversee high-complexity execution including prototype bring-up, design validation, and reliability test campaigns.
- Guide and coach engineers through technical challenges and intervene in critical execution risks.
- Define the Hardware Test capability roadmap, focusing on automation, test data systems, and facility expansion.
- Develop scalable test processes to support accelerating satellite production and growing complexity.
- Research and implement advanced validation methods, including AI and automation.
- Collaborate with program and business development teams to estimate test scope and resource constraints.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading hardware teams through product delivery and schedule commitments.
- Technical proficiency with lab tools such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and multimeters.
- Experience creating comprehensive test strategies, plans, and automated test fixtures.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, MATLAB, Bash, or C/C++).
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Must be based in or be able to relocate to Toronto, Ontario.
Nice to have
- Experience with space hardware, mission assurance, or reliability engineering.
- Familiarity with reliability tools like FMEA, fault trees, and Weibull analysis.
- Experience with HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) systems and predictive health monitoring.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (SSH, secure access) and SQL/NoSQL databases.
