What you will do

• Lead the adoption and operational support of Go as a primary language at production scale.
• Establish reliable frameworks, deployment patterns, and observability standards for Go services.
• Develop easy-to-use, AI-enabled tooling to reduce developer toil and improve service quality.
• Collaborate with the Developer Experience team to solve engineering productivity bottlenecks.
• Drive platform adoption through libraries, migration playbooks, and clear architectural guardrails.
• Ship a concrete Go platform v1 to unblock production teams within the first 90 days.

Requirements

• Over 10 years of hands-on software development experience.
• Deep Go expertise with a track record of operating production services at scale.
• Proven experience defining and driving platform initiatives that other teams adopt.
• Strong systems judgment with the ability to make explicit trade-offs between speed and safety.
• Must be based in or able to work from San Francisco or New York City.
• Ability to work in-office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-enabled developer tooling and automation.
• Experience operating production-scale Kubernetes clusters.
• Familiarity with TypeScript in large-scale codebases.
