TL;DR

IT Manager: Building, operating, and continuously improving internal IT infrastructure for a fast-growing startup with an accent on corporate systems, identity management, and endpoint security. Focus on defining scalable IT processes, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring a seamless technology experience for all employees.

Location: Must be based in Austin, TX (in-person)

Salary: $120,000 – $140,000

What you will do

  • Manage day-to-day IT operations, including corporate infrastructure, SaaS tools, and help desk workflows.
  • Administer identity and access management systems and implement MDM solutions for corporate assets.
  • Provide hands-on technical support for in-office and remote employees, including onboarding and offboarding.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, security practices, and acceptable use standards.
  • Manage vendor relationships, software renewals, and IT budget forecasting.
  • Define IT processes and standards to support organizational scaling.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in IT operations or support, with 1–2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong experience supporting a hybrid workforce across macOS and Windows environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, and MDM solutions like JAMF or Rippling.
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for endpoints and access control.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-service mindset.

Nice to have

  • Experience implementing or working within an ITSM framework (e.g., Jira Service Management, Zendesk).
  • ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
  • Experience supporting teams in a high-growth startup environment.
