What you will do

• Partner with software and ML leadership on execution strategy, resource planning, and timeline delivery.
• Translate product and scientific ambitions into actionable engineering milestones and operational roadmaps.
• Identify and resolve cross-functional blockers between ML, software, and hardware teams.
• Structure release readiness and deployment schedules for ML models and software systems.
• Participate in design reviews and read code to maintain deep technical intuition of AI systems.
• Translate technical risks and timeline shifts for business, product, and scientific stakeholders.

Requirements

• 10+ years of combined experience in software/ML engineering and program management or engineering leadership.
• Authorized to work in the US and available on-site at the Elizabeth, NJ location.
• Deep understanding of the ML development lifecycle, including data, training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Strong software fluency with the ability to read code and follow model architecture discussions.
• Experience driving technical execution of complex, multi-team engineering projects from requirements to production.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, a related STEM field, or equivalent engineering experience.

Nice to have

• Background as a software or ML engineer who still writes code by choice.
• Experience in small, fast-moving AI/ML companies building delivery processes from scratch.
• Comfort with Python, SQL, or notebooks for validating data and system status.
• Track record of building AI-powered tools or workflows to improve organizational operations.
