Lead UX/UI Designer (Payments)

Location: Stockholm, Sweden; hybrid working according to company standard.

What you will do

• Lead design direction for key product areas and complex payment solutions.
• Guide product design projects from discovery through delivery while managing trade-offs and preserving design intent in implementation.
• Partner with product managers, engineering leads, and business stakeholders on product strategy and roadmaps.
• Mentor and coach product designers and foster constructive design critique and continuous improvement.
• Facilitate design workshops, design sprints, and cross-team alignment sessions.
• Champion design-system consistency, user-research integration, and the use of generative and Agentic AI in UX.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product design experience, including at least 2 years in a lead, senior, or principal design role guiding other designers.
• Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design leadership across complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
• Experience mentoring designers and partnering strategically with product management and engineering.
• Sophisticated skills in Figma and other design tools, with the ability to establish team best practices.
• Strong understanding of user research methodologies and evidence-based design.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, plus an online portfolio and availability to work full time.

• Experience in B2B SaaS and/or the payments sector.
