What you will do

• Design and own scalable backend domains and shareable codebases with a focus on testability and extensibility.
• Build and maintain reliable data pipelines by authoring Airflow DAGs and leveraging Snowflake for large-scale analytics.
• Implement secure deployment strategies and optimize CI/CD pipelines for large-scale, high-risk projects.
• Drive AI adoption by integrating AI-native tools and mentoring teammates on AI-first development workflows.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization and implement cost-conscious architectural strategies to balance performance with business value.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate cross-functionally to align stakeholders with the project vision.

Requirements

• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship available.
• Significant experience in software development for shareable features and leading technical initiatives.
• Expert knowledge of AWS (S3, Lambda, EC2, IAM).
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, Snowflake, RabbitMQ, Apache Airflow, Kubernetes/EKS, and Docker.
• Experience using AI coding assistants and LLMs to accelerate development (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, Gemini, Claude Code).
• Proven ability to make high-level architectural decisions and redesign legacy services for high reliability.

Nice to have

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CircleCI.
• Track record of identifying trends in system incidents and introducing broad systemic solutions.
