What you will do

• Design and implement scalable, resilient enterprise applications using Java and cloud-native technologies.
• Lead the architecture of event-driven systems utilizing Kafka, microservices, and distributed messaging patterns.
• Build and support AWS-based platforms using EKS, ECS, MSK, Aurora Postgres, S3, and Lambda.
• Optimize relational data models and SQL queries using PostgreSQL for large-scale transactional processing.
• Lead technical design reviews, architecture governance, and delivery oversight across multiple engineering squads.
• Mentor engineers and promote AI-assisted software delivery capabilities and engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience with Java, Spring Boot, Apache Kafka, and AWS cloud platforms.
• Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL and relational database design/performance optimization.
• Must be based in or able to work from Newark, NJ, New York, NY, or Edgewood, NY.
• Proven daily experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or OpenAI Codex.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and oversee delivery execution across multiple teams.
