What you will do

• Define and execute the enterprise database platform strategy across relational, NoSQL, and cloud-native environments.
• Lead large-scale database migrations from on-premises to Azure and hybrid cloud platforms.
• Drive the adoption of automation-first platforms, including Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Oversee 24x7 production operations, ensuring platform stability, resiliency, and adherence to strict SLAs.
• Manage platform lifecycles, technical debt reduction, and financial budgeting/FinOps practices.
• Lead global onshore/offshore teams, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive experience in enterprise database architecture, engineering, and operations.
• Proven leadership experience managing large-scale, 24x7 production environments.
• Deep expertise in Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Sybase, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Demonstrated success in building and scaling IaC, CI/CD, and Database-as-Code capabilities.
• Strong background in cloud modernization, specifically with Azure database platforms.
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services or highly regulated industries.
• Background in FinOps and cloud cost governance.
• Strong observability and DevOps tooling expertise.
• Master’s degree.
