Senior Strategy Manager

Location: New York, NY, USA. Standard office environment with some international travel; the role may be performed remotely full or part time, and part-time remote employees may be required to share workspace.

Salary: $106,000–$120,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead large, complex, cross-functional projects from scoping through high-quality, timely delivery.
• Generate actionable insights and evidence-based, user-centric solutions through analysis, best-practice research, and consultation with staff.
• Structure ambiguous problems and facilitate problem-solving, decision-making, and consensus-building sessions.
• Advise senior stakeholders and validate findings and recommendations with executive audiences.
• Lead project teams, assign responsibilities, review outputs, and improve the quality of analysis.
• Support a collaborative team environment through coaching and regular developmental feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Approximately 5–7 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in strategy, consulting, or project management.
• Experience with strategic change, organizational change management, and large-scale cross-functional projects.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, presentation, and meeting-facilitation skills.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders, managing project teams, and coaching junior team members.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable working independently in a dynamic global team.

Nice to have

• Strategy experience in a consulting firm or the strategy function of a global organization.
• MBA or master’s degree in international development, human rights, or a related field.
• Experience in a humanitarian or development organization.
• Knowledge of French, Arabic, or Spanish.
