What you will do

• Partner with messenger app teams to design ChatGPT-powered experiences across chat, group, and app-tab surfaces.
• Deepen existing partner integrations to improve user experience, retention, and reliability.
• Build prototypes, integration guides, and reference flows to help partners move from concept to production.
• Debug API, latency, authentication, quota, and quality issues across partner and hirify.global systems.
• Translate privacy, trust, and data-handling requirements into technical constraints and implementation plans.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, legal, and policy teams to ensure scalable and maintainable launches.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering background with a passion for writing code daily.
• Experience deploying API integrations with external partners, managing auth, privacy, and UX constraints.
• Strong product sense and design judgment for consumer-facing experiences.
• Ability to debug distributed systems and narrow broad performance issues into actionable hypotheses.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with engineers, product leaders, and executives.
• Must be based in or able to relocate to San Francisco for a hybrid schedule (3 days in office per week).

Nice to have

• Experience working on B2C consumer, social, or messaging products.
• Familiarity with OAuth/login flows, API rate limits, webviews, and mobile release cycles.
• Prior customer-facing or partner-facing engineering experience, especially in startups.
• Ability to collaborate across APAC time zones and travel internationally quarterly.
