What you will do

• Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for all safety-critical systems across UAV and USV platforms.
• Lead product contributions to Functional Hazard Analyses (FHA) and Fault Tree Analyses (FTA), translating risks into concrete requirements.
• Integrate cybersecurity threat models as causal factors within safety analyses and mitigation strategies.
• Implement a Digital Thread for end-to-end traceability from MBSE-level requirements through verification and analysis.
• Define mass-scalable and cost-effective architectures to enable the deployment of safe autonomous systems at scale.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards including SIL-2/3, DO-178C, and IEC 61508 while maintaining architectural resilience.

Requirements

• Degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or Systems Engineer delivering complex systems under rigorous safety or regulatory standards.
• Deep knowledge of safety methodologies and standards: IEC 61508, DO-178C, DO-254, ISO 26262, FHA, FTA.
• Experience managing a hardware/software product from concept through certification to field deployment.
• Technical fluency in redundancy topologies (1oo2, 2oo3), dissimilar architectures, and real-time operating systems.
• Eligible to obtain appropriate security clearance for defence work.

Nice to have

• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and standards like MOSA or FACE.
• Background in cybersecurity and understanding offensive threat models.
• Familiarity with autonomous systems or UAV/USV platforms.
• Experience in a scaling defence-tech or aerospace startup environment.
