TL;DR
Incident And Release Manager FCC (Fintech): Managing critical technology and operations incidents, incident response playbooks, and production releases for Canadian brokerage applications with an accent on business continuity, disaster recovery, change management, QA, and UAT. Focus on coordinating complex incident recovery, conducting post-mortems and simulations, and ensuring controlled deployments across test and production environments.

Location: Toronto, Canada; remote schedule available as part of Fidelity’s dynamic working arrangement. Current work authorization for Canada is required.

Annual base salary: $135,000–$146,000 CAD, plus a discretionary performance bonus.

Fidelity Clearing Canada is an independent Canadian clearing broker and custodian providing trade execution, clearing, custody, and back-office support to brokerage firms.

What you will do

  • Manage major technology and operations incidents across Fidelity Clearing Canada.
  • Coordinate incident response, recovery activities, vendors, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain incident response playbooks, decision trees, tabletop exercises, and simulations.
  • Coordinate business continuity and disaster recovery activities and represent FCC during major global events.
  • Lead post-mortems, root cause analysis, incident reviews, and continuous process improvements.
  • Manage application releases through testing, approvals, deployment validation, production implementation, and stakeholder communication.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of incident and release management experience.
  • Experience managing complex technology and operational incidents.
  • Knowledge of brokerage or banking environments, particularly mid- and back-office applications.
  • Experience with change management, QA, UAT, production deployments, and audit objectives.
  • Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • University degree or equivalent work experience and solid Microsoft Office skills.
