Senior Director, Special Products

Location: Toronto, ON; hybrid work arrangement with the proportion of on-site and remote work discussed during the interview

What you will do

• Lead the strategic and tactical operating plan for the Special Products portfolio within Wealth Management Operations.
• Direct operations across fee-based products, portfolio administration, custodial and post-trade support, client files, billing, fee governance, reporting, and controls.
• Establish audit readiness, regulatory review, issue management, remediation, and governance practices across the portfolio.
• Drive process redesign, standardization, automation, and digitization to improve scalability, resilience, productivity, and client experience.
• Manage budgets, business cases, unit costing, workforce planning, and organizational design.
• Lead multiple Director-level teams through coaching, development, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Experience developing and implementing strategic team goals and leading successful team performance.
• Experience in wealth management operations, including fee-based products, portfolio administration, custodial and post-trade servicing, client account administration, billing and fee governance.
• Experience with operational risk and control frameworks and large-scale transformation in a regulated financial services environment.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, analytical, mentoring, and people management skills.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada at the specified location; a valid work or study permit may be required where applicable.

Nice to have

• Experience leading digitization, automation, and business change initiatives.
• Experience with attribute-based assessments, simulations, coding, or French proficiency assessments.
