What you will do

  • Supervise end-to-end multi-state US and multi-provincial Canadian payroll processing.
  • Manage benefit elections, reconcile deductions, and conduct audits for enrollment accuracy.
  • Serve as the Workday Payroll super-user to troubleshoot system errors and drive automation.
  • Perform complex payroll-to-GL reconciliations and partner with the Accounting team for accurate reporting.
  • Coordinate quarterly and year-end tax filings (W-2s, T4s, RL-1s) and ensure compliance with shifting legislation.
  • Lead and mentor payroll specialists to foster a culture of accuracy and confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Must be based in or be able to work onsite in Belle Plaine, MN.
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive payroll experience focusing on US and Canadian jurisdictions.
  • Advanced hands-on experience with Workday Payroll and Time Tracking modules.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, complex formulas).
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, or Finance.
