TL;DR

Salary: $89,800 - $125,500 annually

What you will do

  • Build and manage a portfolio of strategic partnerships with higher education institutions, educator organizations, and affinity groups.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new partnership opportunities through direct outreach and networking.
  • Negotiate and structure partnership agreements aligned with distribution strategy and marketing goals.
  • Execute post-signature initiatives, including email marketing, direct mail, events, and lead generation campaigns.
  • Serve as the primary relationship owner, leading renewals, renegotiations, and expansion discussions.
  • Monitor performance metrics and KPIs to evaluate ROI and optimize partnership strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in partnerships, strategic alliances, business development, or channel marketing.
  • Proven success in negotiating contracts and developing mutually beneficial business relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience managing renewals and partner growth initiatives.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and strategic planning skills.
  • Location: Must be based in Springfield, IL

Nice to have

  • Experience working with education-focused organizations or higher education institutions.
  • Background in insurance, financial services, or employee benefits industries.
  • Experience mentoring or providing leadership in partnership execution.
  • Strong understanding of marketing performance metrics and ROI measurement.
