What you will do

• Design and develop real-time embedded firmware and embedded Linux software to implement system security controls.
• Create and refine technical requirements, architecture, and interface design documents.
• Collaborate with the security team to identify and address security issues across the vehicle fleet.
• Promote and design secure software architectures in partnership with developers across the organization.
• Build and maintain security tools, libraries, and instrumentation within the company codebases.
• Perform code and design reviews to identify and remediate security flaws.

Requirements

• Proven record of designing and delivering software security systems for internet-connected embedded devices.
• Experience with hardware-based security techniques such as HSM, TrustZone, and Secure Boot.
• Sound knowledge of Cryptography fundamentals and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
• System-level software development experience (kernel/bootloader).
• Significant proficiency in at least one of: Python, C++, C, or Go.
• Must be based in or able to work in Sunnyvale, CA (hybrid).

Nice to have

• Experience with QNX or similar real-time operating systems.
• Knowledge of Azure, GCP, containers, secrets management systems, and threat modeling.
• Contributions to the security community via open source, published research, or presentations.
• Bachelor’s degree or above in CS, Engineering, Math, Physics, or a similar field.
