What you will do

• Define end-to-end solution architectures aligning with strategy and enterprise standards across the LGIR portfolio.
• Lead analysis of technology options, including cost, risk, and gap analysis, and produce proof of concepts.
• Communicate solution designs and key decisions to stakeholders and governance forums including the Design Authority.
• Oversee and drive solution development and implementation in partnership with delivery teams.
• Assess and select technology solutions through robust due diligence with business and procurement partners.
• Champion innovation and continuous improvement in cloud, data, and modern technology capabilities.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading solution architecture across medium to large-scale programmes, including cloud-based delivery.
• Strong knowledge of architectural design patterns, IT industry standards, and governance frameworks.
• Broad understanding of cloud and integration technologies (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, APIs, SOA, microservices, event-driven architectures).
• Experience with cloud data platforms, ideally Snowflake or similar.
• Knowledge of financial services domains such as investments, finance, actuarial systems, or pensions.
• Experience working within regulated environments with awareness of FCA and PRA requirements.

Nice to have

• TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification.
• ITIL certification.
• Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Exposure to analytics, business intelligence, or AI.
