What you will do

• Own foundational architectural decisions that impact multiple engineering teams.
• Design and maintain core data models and entity resolution systems for complex financial data.
• Set engineering standards for system design, observability, reliability, and API design.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify technical risks and ensure architectural coherence.
• Mentor senior engineers and provide technical guidance across the organization.
• Write code for critical proof-of-concepts and deep-dive technical solutions.

Requirements

• Must be based in London or able to work from the London office.
• Deep experience with complex data modeling, entity resolution, and production data pipelines.
• Proven experience designing and shipping AI/LLM systems like RAG and structured extraction.
• Strong backend and distributed systems knowledge including APIs and scalability.
• Proficiency in Python and comfort working across the full stack.
• Experience making foundational architectural decisions in a fast-moving engineering organization.

Nice to have

• Experience with financial data, legal documents, or semi-structured domain-rich datasets.
• Background as a founding engineer, early-stage CTO, or technical lead.
