Software Architect (Fintech)

What you will do

• Design and evolve the architecture of mission-critical fintech products.
• Define architectural standards, engineering principles, and best practices across teams.
• Lead architectural reviews and validate technical solutions proposed by engineering teams.
• Design high-availability, scalable, and fault-tolerant distributed systems.
• Drive system decomposition, domain boundaries, and service interactions.
• Mentor senior engineers and technical leaders on architecture and engineering practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of backend development experience with strong commercial expertise in PHP and Symfony.
• Previous experience as a Software Architect, System Architect, Solution Architect, or Principal Engineer.
• Must be based in Europe (EEA, UK, Switzerland, etc.) or be able to work within the CET time zone.
• Proven experience in FinTech, Payments, Banking, EMI, or PSP.
• Deep understanding of DDD, OOP, SOLID, and high-load distributed systems.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, and Docker.

Nice to have

• Experience working with platforms processing millions of transactions.
• Background in platform modernization and large-scale migrations.
• Experience defining architecture standards across multiple engineering teams.
