What you will do

• Own and evolve critical CIAM capabilities, including Authentication, SSO, Multi-Factor, Authorization, Permissions, and Auditing.
• Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs for internal and external products.
• Identify and solve initial scalability challenges, creating repeatable patterns and best practices for the entire engineering organization.
• Collaborate with product, security, and frontend teams to deliver secure and user-friendly identity flows.
• Improve system reliability and observability through monitoring, alerting, and SLO management.
• Mentor teammates, perform code reviews, and help define the technical roadmap for identity services.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Strong backend experience building scalable distributed systems, APIs, and databases.
• Practical knowledge of authentication/authorization standards (OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, SSO, MFA).
• Hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails and frontend collaboration using React and TypeScript.
• English: C1+ (Excellent collaboration and communication skills required).
• Location: Must be based in or able to work from Barcelona or Madrid offices.
