What you will do

• Coach and support engineers through regular, honest feedback and personalized growth planning.
• Partner with product, design, and technology leaders to align priorities and deliver scalable solutions.
• Attract, hire, and retain top engineering talent to build a high-performing team.
• Resolve ambiguity and remove blockers to keep the development process moving efficiently.
• Lead tier-3 engineering support for your domain, including triage and root cause analysis.
• Participate in architectural decisions and identify opportunities for innovation in tooling and processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams with a track record of developing people.
• Experience managing production software across the full product lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, integration design, deployment, and testing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to influence decisions across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Must be able to clear a background check.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS services (API Gateway, Elastic Beanstalk, Aurora, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch).
• Proficiency in Java/Spring Boot and React/TypeScript.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, specifically AWS CodePipeline and CodeBuild.
• Background in ed-tech, career platforms, or two-sided marketplaces.
• Experience working in a startup or early-stage technology company.
