Manager, Software Development (AI)

What you will do

• Lead a front-end, back-end, or full-stack software development team through planning, delivery, release readiness, and ongoing product support.
• Manage, mentor, and develop engineers through coaching, feedback, performance management, and growth planning.
• Partner with Product Management on roadmap planning, user stories, sequencing, capacity planning, and measurable outcomes.
• Guide technical design discussions, code reviews, proof-of-concept work, and sound engineering practices.
• Improve Agile execution, automated testing, quality gates, technical debt management, operational readiness, and production learning.
• Establish responsible AI-assisted development practices, including guardrails, evaluation, human oversight, testing, security, privacy, and release validation.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering or web development experience, including 2+ years leading engineers as a manager or technical lead.
• Experience delivering SaaS, web, mobile, or cloud-based software products in fast-moving environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong technical foundation in C#/.NET, SQL, APIs, JavaScript/TypeScript, Azure or other cloud platforms, automated testing, CI/CD, and secure development.
• Experience improving engineering practices, resolving delivery risks, managing technical debt, and supporting modernization while maintaining product stability.
• Experience with prioritization, sprint planning, estimation, code review, test automation, incident response, and performance visibility.
• Practical experience applying AI-assisted development, including context engineering, evaluation, human oversight, automated gates, and security and privacy controls.

Nice to have

• Healthcare technology experience and familiarity with HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, cybersecurity, privacy, and resilience.
• Experience with developer productivity, test automation, CI/CD, observability, or modernization of established SaaS products.
• Experience with LLM platforms, coding agents, copilots, AI evaluation, or developer-platform tooling.
