Senior Platform Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate secure, reliable, and scalable cloud-native platform capabilities on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Own platform security, scalability, resiliency, evolution, roadmaps, migrations, and developer experience across a multi-tenant environment.
• Lead troubleshooting, incident response, capacity planning, and continuous improvement for a highly available production platform.
• Provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and mentorship to engineers across the organization.
• Use AI-powered tools and automation to improve engineering productivity and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in platform engineering, site reliability engineering, infrastructure engineering, or software engineering.
• Deep expertise with AWS and production Kubernetes cluster management.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, GitOps, Argo CD, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform, CDK, or similar technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes networking, including VPCs, CNI, service mesh, ingress, Envoy Gateway, Gateway API, DNS, and load balancing.
• Experience with Karpenter, autoscaling, capacity management, cost optimization, observability, incident response, secrets management, and platform security controls.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare, medical device, financial services, or other regulated industries.
• Experience applying AI to software engineering, platform operations, and developer productivity.
