Investment Associate (Private Credit)

TL;DR

Investment Associate (Private Credit): Supporting the evaluation, execution, and management of private credit investments with an accent on direct lending, opportunistic credit, and asset-backed opportunities. Focus on conducting in-depth financial analysis, performing due diligence, and preparing materials for the Investment Committee.

Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 remote) in New York, NY or Warren, NJ

Salary: $130,000 - $165,000 annually

What you will do

• Analyze new investment opportunities across the private credit spectrum, including direct lending and asset-backed opportunities.
• Support due diligence by reviewing legal documentation, financial models, and third-party reports.
• Prepare investment memoranda and presentation materials for Investment Committee review.
• Monitor portfolio performance and assist with ongoing management of existing investments.
• Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams including legal, accounting, tax, and risk.
• Interface directly with external partners, asset managers, and banks.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in investment banking, alternative investments, private credit, or credit research.
• Must be based in or able to commute to New York, NY or Warren, NJ for a hybrid work schedule.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and sound investment judgment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
