Mainframe Storage Specialist (IBM)

Location: Hybrid - must be based in the Netherlands and available at least 1 day per week in the Amstelveen office.

What you will do

• Manage and maintain Disk, SAN, and Tape infrastructure to ensure correct functioning.
• Support backup/restore processes, data movements, and SMS policies.
• Handle capacity management and Storage Technical Refresh (Life Cycle Management).
• Support GDPS Metro and Global Mirror for automation and disaster recovery.
• Collaborate with storage teams in Hungary, IBM support, and z/OS architects.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge and experience with IBM Storage Management tooling (SMS, HSM).
• Experience with DS8K mirrors and IBM LCP Cybervault.
• Proficiency in GDPS for automation of Storage functions (Metro Mirror, Hyperswap, Global Mirror).
• Experience with Broadcom G720 SAN Switches and z/EDC for encryption.
• Must be based in the Netherlands and able to visit the Amstelveen office weekly.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019 implementation.
• Public/private cloud management and migration experience.
• Automation experience, specifically IaaS (Infrastructure as Code).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and federation services.
