Senior Linux SysAdmin (VPN)

Senior Linux SysAdmin (VPN): Operating and optimizing global VPN infrastructure, RADIUS authentication, and DNS services with an accent on Linux networking, traffic engineering, and anti-DDoS controls. Location: Hybrid (Lithuania or Poland). Office presence is encouraged with the possibility of up to two remote days per week. WFA policy may allow working from other locations.

Salary: €3,000 – €6,300 per month for the Lithuanian market, or 18,300 – 27,300 PLN per month for the Polish market.

What you will do

• Own and operate VPN services, RADIUS authentication, and DNS infrastructure across thousands of global Linux servers.
• Manage Linux networking, routing, BGP, traffic engineering, and anti-DDoS controls at scale.
• Lead incident response, define escalation criteria, and own root cause analysis and post-mortems.
• Translate operational pain points into platform improvements and SLO contributions.
• Coordinate CVE remediation and redeploy decisions across the fleet using automation.
• Build operational tooling and automation using Go, Python, or AI-assisted workflows.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of Linux systems and networking (routing, BGP, filtering, DNS, kernel-level debugging).
• Solid understanding of RADIUS authentication and accounting mechanisms.
• Experience operating high-availability critical infrastructure at scale.
• Proven ability to lead incident response and post-mortem processes.
• Ability to write automation and operational tooling in Go, Python, or similar.
• Must be based in or eligible to work in the Lithuanian or Polish markets.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Ansible/IaC and monitoring stacks like Prometheus or VictoriaMetrics.
• Knowledge of VPN protocols (WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPsec) or XDP/eBPF.
• Experience mentoring engineers or providing technical leadership within a team.
